Harmony Day 2021 – Picnic in the Park
Published on 12 March 2021
Hindmarsh Shire Council extends an invitation to all members of the community to join us for a picnic in the park to celebrate Harmony Day at Nhill’s Jaypex Park sound shell on Sunday March 28 between 12pm and 3pm.
Harmony Day is celebrated in March each year. The ongoing theme of the celebration is “Everyone Belongs” nationally observing many of the cultures that enrich our community and make it an amazing place to live. Harmony Day is also a chance for us to recognise and celebrate the value of community participation, diversity, inclusiveness, respect and belonging.
Hindmarsh Council Mayor Cr. Ron Ismay said, “I encourage everyone to bring the family out for what will be a very enjoyable event. Hindmarsh is a shire that values cultural diversity and encourages inclusion for everyone.”
He continued, “Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy this all-ages event. There will be a delicious array of food and beverages available for purchase from Seed ‘n’ Sprout food van, as well as live entertainment from local musicians.
