Team Leader Holiday Parks

Full Time (76 hours per fortnight, including occasional weekend work)

Salary commencing at $37.92 per hour (plus superannuation)

About Hindmarsh Shire Council 

Hindmarsh Shire is nestled amongst National Parks, lakes, and rivers.  Our proud agricultural sector is the backbone of our economy, with small business and other entrepreneurial industries on the rise.  Hindmarsh Shire Council services an area of over 7527km2 and has hybrid Customer Services centres and Libraries in Dimboola, Jeparit and Rainbow and standalone services in Nhill. 

Hindmarsh Shire Council manages the Dimboola Riverside Holiday Park, Nhill Holiday Park, Jeparit Holiday Park, Rainbow Holiday Park and Four Mile Beach Camping area. This newly created role will oversee the operational functions of all Holiday Parks, ensuring that they are running smoothly with cleaning staff and caretakers.  The position will also take an active role in promotion of Hindmarsh Shire Holiday Parks as being destinations for travellers to stop, stay and play!  

We are seeking someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead small teams.  Good computer skills are essential, as is a passion to deliver high level customer and visitor experiences across all facilities.  If this sounds like you, we look forward to receiving your application!

You will be able to tell us how your skills and experience relate to the following key selection criteria:

• Ability to deliver high-level customer/visitor experiences in a hospitality/accommodation environment. 

• Proactive, with excellent organisation and time-management skill. 

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a broad range of people.

• Possess sound computer skills, including experience using reservation systems and the Microsoft Office suite. 

• Experience in developing and implementing marketing, visitor experience or continuous improvement plans within a commercial industry. 

• Demonstrated experience in managing staff in geographically dispersed locations, providing effective leadership and supervision skills in a team environment. 

• Current Australian Driver Licence.

• Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical, police check and Working with Children Check.
