Fire Ready Guides for Dimboola and Rainbow Published on 13 January 2025 The Wimmera Emergency Management Team has developed Fire Ready Guides for the townships of Dimboola and Rainbow. These guides were developed because Dimboola and Rainbow have been identified as areas of extreme bushfire risk. Dimboola is located close to the Little Desert National Park and the Wail State Forest, whilst Rainbow is surrounded by bushland. Starling Problem at Goldsworthy Park Published on 24 June 2022 Council officers will re-commence a control program aimed at preventing the large number of starlings from roosting within the Goldsworthy Park area. Albacutya Bridge Closure Published on 18 October 2021 Council has permanently closed the Albacutya Bridge after a condition inspection revealed the bridge is further deteriorating. This deterioration was likely accelerated due to the recent earthquake. All road users wishing to travel Albacutya Rd past Outlet Creek, will now be required to use the gravel bypass by following the detour roadside traffic management signage.
