ROAD WORKS UPDATE
ROAD RECONSTRUCTION WORKS
Reconstruction works on Old Minyip Road and Dimboola Minyip Road are well underway, including a full reconstruction of approximately 1km of these two roads to repair failed sections. These projects are on track to be completed in April 2025.
Reconstruction works on Woorak-Ni Ni-Lorquon Road are scheduled to commence in March 2025, including reconstruction of a narrow section of the road to a wider seal, as well as repairs to failed pavement. The section being worked on will be from R Lowes Road heading north for approximately 875m (a continuation of the section upgraded roughly two years ago). Once complete, this will provide better access for farm machinery, heavy vehicles and will make the road safer for all users.
KERB AND CHANNEL WORKS
Works on Winifred Street, Rainbow, have commenced with Willmore Contractors being the successful tenderer. Works will include installing kerb and channel, new driveway laybacks, and sealing the road shoulders. Works are scheduled to be complete in April 2025.
LLEW SCHILLING SILO DEVELOPMENT, RAINBOW
Works are progressing onsite at the Llew Schilling Silo in Rainbow, the newest addition to the Silo Art Trail.
Contractors have commenced excavation works for the elevator shaft pit and they are currently boring holes for the concrete piers which will range in depth from 6m to 13m! Concreting works are expected to be completed by mid-March, prior to the arrival of components of the tower structure which will be assembled onsite.

RAINBOW RISES EVENTS CENTRE
Improvements to the Rainbow Rises Events Centre are nearing completion with the fit out of the amenities block well underway and the concrete slab for a new storage shed recently poured. The shed is expected to arrive within a week, allowing for construction and in readiness for future events at the site.

RAINBOW RECREATION RESERVE FOOTBALL CHANGEROOMS ROOF REPLACEMENT
Contractors have recently completed the installation of a new roof on the football changerooms at the Rainbow Recreation Reserve. The old roof has been replaced due to a large number of ongoing leaks.

DIMBOOLA RIVERSIDE HOLIDAY PARK LAUNDRY UPGRADE
The Dimboola Riverside Holiday Park laundry has recently been upgraded. Works included relocating the laundry to an existing larger building on site that was previously used for storage. New flooring has been installed, along with a new air-conditioning unit, a custom folding table and a kitchen for staff. This space supports the ongoing growth of the Dimboola Riverside Holiday Park and all Hindmarsh Holiday Parks.
