Nhill ‘Falls in Love’ with Cindy’s Baking
Published on 21 February 2025
On Thursday 20 February 2025, the Hindmarsh Shire Libraries Nhill branch was filled with food lovers and baking enthusiasts, all in attendance to meet and listen to the stories of baker and author Cindy Bunt.
Cindy is the owner of The Post and Rail, a cooking, gardening, art school and nursery in South Australia that she started in 2019. Cindy loves being able to share her passion and knowledge, as well as her time-saving tips, shortcuts and techniques.
Cindy shared stories of how her love for baking came to be, the journey her career has taken with her farm nursery café store, and anecdotes of her very loved family recipes. Many knowing giggles were shared by all who gathered for this event.
With the assistance of a willing participant, Cindy demonstrated her fool-proof technique for making and cutting scones - a recipe sure to be tried with that new-learned knowledge at hand!
Hindmarsh Shire Libraries is grateful to have authors like Cindy travel to our library service to share their expertise, profession and passion with our community. Thank you, Cindy!
