Hindmarsh Shire Council is excited to announce that the Nhill Caravan Park is directly managed by Council as of 23 September 2024. Council will now directly manage all four caravan parks within Hindmarsh Shire including Dimboola, Jeparit, Nhill and Rainbow.

The move reflects Council’s commitment to boosting tourism in our region and the need to provide high quality accommodation for travellers. Tourism not only provides employment opportunities, but also has a positive flow-on impact to businesses and attractions, with visitors encouraged to experience the stunning natural landscapes and rich heritage. 

Council staff are already hard at work ensuring the Nhill Caravan Park is in pristine condition, with the non-compliant swimming pool being removed, ground improvements underway including the establishment of drive through sites for those who do not want to disconnect their caravans from their cars, and thorough cleaning of amenities.

Hindmarsh Shire Council CEO, Monica Revell said “Council management of the Nhill Caravan Park will provide travellers a welcoming environment and high standard of cleanliness. Tourism is a vital part of our Council Plan, and we are committed to securing funding to support the upgrade of Nhill Caravan Park and promote Hindmarsh as a must-visit destination.”
