Following a year of achievements and activities, the Hindmarsh Shire Youth Councillors are excited to announce that they have saved the best to the end of the year with their Luna Ball celebration to be held at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre on Friday 29 November 2024 from 6:30pm – 9:30pm.

‘Luna’ means ‘moon’ in Latin, and Youth Councillors encourage attendees to dress up in their finest for the Luna Ball with a box of chocolates being awarded to the person judged best dressed.

This event is for young people aged 12 – 18 years, with free food and refreshments available.

As with all Hindmarsh Youth Council ‘Engage’ and ‘FReezA’ events, the ‘Luna Ball’ will be supervised, there will be no pass outs and it will be a drug, alcohol, smoke and vape free function.

Return buses with adult supervision from Rainbow, Dimboola, and Jeparit to Nhill will be provided on the night, but registration is essential by 5:00pm on 27 November 2024 to guarantee a seat on the bus.

Hindmarsh Shire Youth Councillor, Cooper, said “Come along for a fun night at the 2024 Luna Ball,” with Alissa, fellow Youth Councillor, adding, “It will be a fun-filled end of year formal event.”
