Hindmarsh Shire Youth 2024 Luna Ball

Hindmarsh Shire Youth Council and young people from across the Shire celebrated the end of year with the Luna Ball held at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre on Friday 29 November 2024.

Youth Councillors started decorating the hall at 11:00am, ready for the ball to commence at 6:30pm. The hall looked amazing decorated in a blue, gold, and white theme which created a stunning backdrop for photos and dancing!

The Luna Ball attracted approximately 90 young people from across the Shire, and the Youth Council, together with Hindmarsh Shire Council, would like to thank all businesses and individuals involved in making the end of year celebration such a success. Without their support in providing catering, entertainment, transportation, decorations and supervision, functions like the Luna Ball would not be possible.

Hindmarsh Youth Councillors have spent several months planning and managing all aspects of the function, including the catering and decorations. They all did a fantastic job and should be proud of their efforts. The Hindmarsh Shire Youth Council program continues to grow each year, and Council look forward to welcoming a new group of Youth Councillors in 2025.
