Hindmarsh Shire Swimming Pools 2024/2025 Season

Outdoor pools in Dimboola, Jeparit, Rainbow, and Nhill are set to open on Saturday 16 November 2024 for the 2024/2025 season.

As has been reported previously, Hindmarsh Shire Council has taken on management of all public outdoor pools across the Shire. Council has committed to access being free of charge for members of our community and visitors for the 2024/2025 season during normal operating hours.

Hindmarsh outdoor pools will be staffed by local qualified lifeguards. Canteens will not be operating but staff will have icy-poles available for a small donation. Community members and visitors are encouraged to support local businesses and BYO refreshments (no glass) to the pool.

The VicSwim program will be delivered in the 2024/2025 season with further information to be published when details are available.

Consumption and/or the taking of alcohol into swimming pools or grounds is strictly prohibited, as is smoking and vaping.

Hindmarsh Shire Council, CEO, Monica Revell said “Council has invested heavily into the outdoor pools over the last couple of years with upgraded solar heating installed at Rainbow and Nhill, and installation currently underway at Dimboola, to improve the water temperature. Automatic dosing machines have also been installed in Dimboola and Nhill, with installation to be completed in Jeparit and Rainbow prior to the pools opening.”

Mrs Revell continued “We are excited to offer free access to Hindmarsh outdoor pools during normal opening hours and encourage both residents and visitors take advantage of our pools.”
