Hindmarsh Business Networking Session – 9 April 2025

Hindmarsh Shire Council is pleased to host the next instalment of our Hindmarsh Business Networking Sessions on Wednesday 9 April 2025 from 6:30pm – 9:00pm at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre. 

Presenters on the evening will include Patrick White – Rural Financial Counselling Service, Ian Gumela – Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism, Mark Fletcher - Hindmarsh Shire Council, as well as local business representatives.

The evening will be an opportunity to hear updates from presenters on some of the supports available following the Little Desert and Grampians bushfires and economic impacts on our communities.

Ian Gumela, Visit Wimmera Mallee brand manager from Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism, will present the recovery ‘Meet Me in the Wimmera Mallee’ promotion aiming to entice visitors back to the region with a strong ‘Open for Business’ message, as well as speaking about some of the recent promotional activities for the region. 

Rural Financial Counselling Service representative Patrick White will share how their organisation may assist businesses in the region requiring financial assistance or undertaking a health check for future planning.   

Manager Economic Development & Tourism, Mark Fletcher, will give an overview of the recent Economic Impact Survey following the recent Little Desert Bushfires and ways Council is able to assist businesses to build and develop.

The final presentation for the evening will cover the opportunity of re-igniting a local business group for gatherings and information sharing.
