Harmony Week 2020
Published on 10 March 2020
Hindmarsh Shire Council is proud to be teaming up with the Nhill Neighbourhood House Learning Centre to celebrate Harmony Week during March.
Harmony Week runs from Sunday 15 March until Saturday 21 March 2020. The ongoing theme of the celebration is “Everyone Belongs”. It is a national observance of the many cultures that make up our community and make it an amazing place to live. It is also a chance for us to recognize and celebrate the value of community participation, diversity, inclusiveness, respect and belonging.
This year Hindmarsh Shire Council and the Nhill Neighbourhood House Learning Centre would like to invite all members of the community to participate in a Shared Lunch and BBQ at The Patch on Thursday 19 March 2020, beginning at 12.30pm.
Hindmarsh Shire Council Mayor Cr Rob Gersch said “We encourage you to bring a plate of your favourite traditional dish to share with other members of the community as a way of celebrating our diverse cultural heritage”.
RSVP by Tuesday17 March to join the celebration.
To RSVP, or for more information, please contact Matt Sherwell, Community Development Officer, on 03 5391 4444 or email msherwell@hindmarsh.vic.gov.au.
