Free Green Waste Disposal 2024

Hindmarsh Shire Council is pleased to announce that residents will be able to dispose of their green waste free of charge at all Transfer Stations throughout the month of October. This initiative runs from Tuesday 1 October through to Thursday 31 October 2024, providing a valuable opportunity for the community to prepare their properties in anticipation of the upcoming fire season.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this offer to clear away any excess green waste, such as branches, leaves, and grass clippings, which can help reduce fire risks and keep properties well-maintained.

This initiative highlights Hindmarsh Shire Council’s dedication to both community safety and environmental sustainability. We urge all residents to use this opportunity to tidy up their properties, enhance the appearance of our townships, and reduce fire risks. Additionally, we encourage residents to assist those who may need help with green waste disposal. Together, we can create a safer and cleaner environment for everyone.
