Celebrating Children’s Week 2023
Published on 03 October 2023
Hindmarsh Shire are celebrating their children this Children’s Week with activities in Hindmarsh Shire Libraries. Children’s week is a national celebration recognising the talents, skills, achievements, and rights of children. The 2023 theme is “Children have the right to relax, play and to take part in activities they enjoy" based on Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child”. Hindmarsh Shire is proud to celebrate and support our children, with celebrations at all four branches of Hindmarsh Shire Libraries.
FREE activities will be run at Dimboola, Jeparit, Nhill, and Rainbow Libraries with song, stories, and activities provided by Jess at Young Expressions. Young Expressions activities were so popular last year that Jess will be returning this year. Come into your local branch of Hindmarsh Shire Libraries and see what Jess has in store this year to encourage your child to relax, play and get their creativity flowing.
If you have kinder kids, or school aged children, or younger, we welcome you to visit our libraries where possible to attend these activities. Due to the popularity of these events, please email libraries@hindmarsh.vic.gov.au or call 03 5391 4452 to secure your place in celebrating Children’s Week 2023.
