Business Assistance Grants Program Opening Soon

The second round of the Hindmarsh Shire Business Assistance Grants for 2023/2024 will open for applications from eligible businesses from Friday 15 December 2023. Since the establishment of the program in 2016, Business Assistance Grants have supported businesses in generating new employment opportunities, supporting existing businesses to grow and to attract new business to the shire.

Hindmarsh Shire Council has allocated $20,000 towards the Business Assistance Grants program in the 2023/2024 Annual Budget.

The 2023/2024 Business Assistance Grants program offers support and assistance across two funding categories.

The first category, “Business Development” will assist existing businesses to undertake small projects or initiatives to a value of up to $2,000 with a contribution from the business of $1 to $2 from the Council grant.  Initiatives could include staff recruitment, business planning, or the obtaining of building, planning and health permits.

The second category “Streetscapes”, aims to assist existing businesses to undertake any streetscape improvements to a value of up to $3,000.  Business must match $1 to every $2 of Council grant. 

Applications will be available on the Hindmarsh Shire Council website from Friday 15 December 2023 and can either be downloaded or completed online.

Round Two of the Business Assistance Grants Program will close at 5:00pm Friday 09 February 2024.
