Building Works Nhill & District Historical Society Building
Published on 27 March 2024
The Nhill & District Historical Society building located at 104-106 MacPherson Street Nhill will be closed from the second week of May to allow contractors to undertake repair works on the building. The issues to be rectified includes replacement of the roof, guttering and downpipes as well as some repair works on the veranda and paint works.
The council has engaged a suitably qualified plumber and a builder to complete this project. Works are expected to be completed by the end of June, subject to weather conditions.
The building will have no access to staff, volunteers and members of the public from mid-May to the end of June. This will ensure that the site safety is appropriately maintained during construction. The exact dates will be communicated to residents via a post on Hindmarsh Shire Council's Facebook page when we get closer to the commencement date.
