Business online marketing though the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse
Published on 04 November 2022
Hindmarsh Shire Council is urging business to list on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) to help maximise online exposure to their business and increase the attraction of visitors to our towns, shire and region. ATDW is not only for tourism attractions, accommodation and hospitality businesses, but local shops and services that add to the visitor experience. This is a good opportunity to show how much is happening across the shire.
ATDW is Australia’s online marketplace for tourism information. The function of the ATDW is to support Australian tourism businesses and events with their digital marketing, by connecting them with the audiences of multiple tourism channels through a single, self-managed listing.
ATDW collaborates closely with state and territory tourism organisations, including local organisations Wimmera Mallee Tourism and Visit Victoria, and Tourism Australia in capitalising on mutual projects, harnessing resources, leveraging expertise, and gathering insights. Listing with ATDW feeds your business directly through to the Visit Wimmera Mallee website and creates material for the Wimmera Mallee Tourism marketing team for social media posts. It also allows businesses to update information (opening hours etc) and ensure the changes are captured across the many websites and marketing channels drawing on ATDW, helping to keep everyone up to date without needing to change details on all these different sites.
All Victorian tourism businesses creating a new listing are eligible for a free 12-month ATDW profile if their listing is made before 31 December 2022. Free coupons can be obtained by contacting Hindmarsh Shire Council’s Tourism and Economic Development Officer.
ATDW is also a great way to get exposure and marketing for events as it feeds information directly into the Visit Wimmera Mallee and Visit Victoria events calendars. Event listings are free with no coupons necessary.
