Help for Hindmarsh Community Groups

Due to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Hindmarsh Shire Council is providing additional assistance to community groups and sporting clubs that utilise Council owned facilities by waiving fees and costs associated with building insurances.

Hindmarsh Shire Council Mayor, Cr Ron Ismay said “Council is fully aware of the continued impacts that COVID-19 has had on community groups and sporting clubs throughout 2021. A decline of membership and a reduction in usage of facilities are just two impacts that have been felt.”

“Council is pleased to provide some assistance through the waiving of fees and costs associated with building insurances which is a cost that is normally passed on by Council’, said Cr Ismay.

Council will be contacting the community groups in the coming week letting them know this good news.
