Camp Kitchen expansion at Riverside Holiday Park, Dimboola
Published on 06 August 2021
Visitors to Dimboola’s Riverside Holiday Park are set to benefit from further improvements at the popular tourist facility on the banks of the Wimmera River. Contractors have recently completed a project to extend the existing camp kitchen with the addition of an all abilities accessible bathroom.
The new bathroom provides shower and toilet facilities for park patrons regardless of their mobility, in a convenient location adjoining the park’s public camp kitchen. The bathroom also includes a change table which will be a handy addition for families with young children utilising the camp kitchen.
The hosting capacity of the camp kitchen has also increased with a new outdoor facility established alongside. The area includes a BBQ with twin plates and sink, along with plenty of picnic tables for enjoying a snag or steak!
With a big shade sail providing protection from the elements, this will be a perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy a meal when the weather begins to warm up again! Hindmarsh Shire Mayor, Cr Ron Ismay said “we are looking forward to patrons utilising the new all abilities accessible bathroom.” He continued “a new ramp has been erected to allow for easy access to both the bathroom and camp kitchen further improving the facilities available at the park.”
This project has been made possible with funding from the Victorian Government’s Great Outdoors Camping and Caravan program.
