Round 2 of Business Assistance Grants Now Open

Following its establishment in 2016, the Hindmarsh Shire Council Business Assistance Grants Program has been well received by local businesses with a range of projects being supported with funding assistance. The program was established to generate new employment opportunities, support existing business growth and to attract new business to Hindmarsh Shire.
Hindmarsh Shire Council Mayor, Cr Ron Ismay said “Council has allocated $20,000 towards the 2018/2019 Business Assistance Grants Program in Council’s 2018/2019 Annual Budget. In order to make it easier to seek funding, the prgram has been streamlined into two categories, Business Development and Streetscapes”
Cr Ismay added “The Business Development grant supports the establishment of new and innovative businesses that increase the diversity of the Shire’s business community and provide the potential for local residents to start new businesses. The Streetscape grant is open to existing businesses to improve the exterior façade or improve access to their building”.

Cr Ismay concluded “I encourage any local businesses that are looking at applying for funding through Round 2 of the Business Assistance Grants program to discuss their applications with Council staff prior to submitting them. This is the last funding round for 2018/2019”.
Round 2 of the Business Assistance Grants Program will close at 5.00pm on Friday 15 February 2019 and will be presented to Council at the March Hindmarsh Shire Council meeting.
