The Draft Budget 2018/19 and the Council Plan 2017-2021 incorporating the Strategic Resource Plan 2019-2022 are currently open for public submissions. You can view both these documents by clicking on the links below.
Any person proposing to make a written submission on the draft 2018/19 budget and Council Plan 2017/2021 incorporating the Strategic Resource Plan 2019-2022 must do so 12noon 25 June 2018. Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, and posted to Hindmarsh Shire Council PO Box 250, Nhill, VIC, 3418, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Any person making a submission is entitled to request to appear in person, or be represented by a person at the Council meeting to present their submission. Submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

HAVE YOUR SAY! REVIEW OF PLANNING RULES
Council is reviewing the Hindmarsh Planning Scheme. This is the ‘rule book’ that guides all planning decisions in Hindmarsh. It sets out the vision for our community. You’re invited to a workshop to tell us your views.
Topics will include:
• Growing the viability of the farming and agricultural sector
• Protection and care for the environment – vegetation, soil quality, biodiversity, climate change
• How our townships can be supported
• Creating a strong economic future for Hindmarsh
• Planning for an older community
• Infrastructure, like roads and transport, power and telecommunications
Workshops are to be held in Nhill, Dimboola, Jeparit and Rainbow.
The Nhill and Dimboola Workshops will be held as follows
NHILL: Wed 23 May – 7pm – Council Offices
DIMBOOLA: Tue 29 May – 7pm – Dimboola Memorial Secondary College Health & Fitness Centre
